Passing through your solar system right now!

I am really pleased with the attention that Far Worlds has been getting. Everyone involved in its publication has put in a ton of effort, it was a labour of love and sweat. As the Bolthole third anthology I think it has been the more ambitious – and I believe we have all learnt a lot in the process.

I enjoyed reading each and every story. It was a pleasure to talk with the writers about their creations and I had so much fun doing the illustrations for them all. I hope our paths cross again, they are top class.

Amongst all the praise for Far Worlds, one of the reviewers: Bane of Kings, from The Founding Fields, had something nice to say about the cover also:

“Another thing that I’d like to add is that the cover is fantastic as well – I don’t normally talk about covers but this one in particular looks amazing. It’s something that screams ‘must-buy’ and you can’t go far wrong with this book.”

It is the second time Bane of Kings mentions one of my covers, I must be doing something right! 🙂  The first time was for the Marching Time cover:

“…and comes with an awesome cover art to boot. I don’t normally mention cover arts in reviews but seriously – just how awesome is that cover? If I was walking past it in a bookshop I’d probably buy it right there on impulse – it just looks so amazing and is worth buying for the art alone.”

I am very picky with my freelance these days, I have a full time job and hardly any free spare time left. But for projects like Far Worlds I wouldn’t hesitate, I’ll jump to the opportunity in a blink.

On a side note – and I might have mentioned about a personal project I’m working on before… I’m writing a lot (in Spanish), thoughts pouring and pouring out of my head and going straight to the paper. I’m fleshing out my universe and I will start sketching up soon. I have quite a few ideas I want to develop which include an illustrated short novel and a role-playing game. I’ll keep you posted.

In the meantime, let me show you the interior artwork I created for Far Worlds.
