SUNDAY AFTERNOON SKETCH PRACTICE: MIKE EHRMANTRAUT

Shut the fuck up and let me die in peace

Sunday afternoon practice. Graphite and charcoal pencils.

I always said I’m not portrait artist. But as I enjoyed doing the Leonard Nimoy tribute, I thought to try and do another portrait just for fun. This time is one of my favourite characters from any series: Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. I’m quite happy with the resemblance. Hey, it can only get better, right? 🙂

P.S. Don’t forget we’re now on Facebook!

  1. Two of my favorite characters. I can see how the seemingly “lack of emotions” inspired you to draw the two.

    1. Hi Tony! I didn’t think about that, but I can see the connection now you mentioned it. On both cases the characters are middle-aged, and as I’m just starting to experiment with portraits, I find them easier to draw.
