Animals were hiding behind the rocks; Except the little fish

Beautiful Sunday morning, and I decided to keep practising drawing portraits. Well, that was the plan. But as soon as I opened one of my new sketchbooks, a LEUCHTTURM1917 (A4 with extra strong paper), boom! This image came to my head from nowhere.

So, humming “Where is My Mind” I started sketching. Not my usual gritty artwork neither but something that would be suitable for a children’s book. I don’t mind, my inner child plays these tricks to me now and again, letting me know he is still there.

At the end I used Indian ink and Magic Color acrylic ink (for the larger areas). I kept it as line art because I’m thinking to scan it and colour it at some point.

Now, to the portraits…

P.S. Don’t forget we’re now on Facebook!
